At the start of the race with the two McLaren’s in front it was likely that they would control the race. Who would have thought Massa would overtake them by the second corner, let alone that Hamilton will get a puncture.
As Lewis was leading the race by a country mile the safety car had to be deployed after a big Toyota crash on the pit-strait. Most cars came in to pit but McLaren left Lewis out on the track behind the safety car. This turned out to be a mistake as the rest of the field went into pit to get tyres and fuel to last to the end of the race, apart from Hamilton how had to come in again.
It was an eventful Formula 1 race today, with light to heavy rain mixed in with some sunny spells causing very tricky conditions for the Formula 1 drivers out there. There were plenty of spins by most of the drivers, including Lewis but Nick Heidfeld seems to be the only driver who didn’t spin off the track landing him a podium finish in second place.
